Forum 20 Report
by Rachel Schupack November 18-19, 2011 an international conference, Forum 20, brought together 160 participants from 12 countries. Participants heard 22 speakers from a variety of churches and denominations in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, and Central Asia, who shared their analysis and perspective on the past twenty years of missions work in the former Soviet Union as well as their thoughts on the future. A lot of difficult questions and problems were discussed. The Association for Spiritual Renewal published a volume of papers by the speakers ahead of time and distributed it to participants as well as making it available online, allowing for a more knowledgeable and in-depth discussion of the problems facing the Evangelical Church today in the former Soviet Union and the ideas presented. “The Church should be in a process of continual reformation and spiritual renewal,” remarked Vice President of Association for Spiritual Renewal Dr. Michael Cherenkov during the Forum’s opening. “W
